Welcome to the Hoops Foundation website (the “Site”). The Site is run by Hoops Foundation (“Hoops Foundation,” “we,” “us”), a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, California, that helps girls play basketball by covering fees and travel. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who may use the Site
The Site is open to everyone, including families, coaches, donors, and partner organizations. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to read these Terms and to make any donation, send any message, or share any information on your behalf.
2. Donations
- Donations support Hoops Foundation’s mission of keeping girls on the court, including program fees, travel, and related costs. We may direct gifts to the area of greatest need.
- Hoops Foundation is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our EIN is currently pending. Until our tax-exempt status is confirmed, we cannot promise that a gift is tax-deductible. Please consult a tax advisor, and keep your receipt.
- Unless we state otherwise at the time of the gift, donations are final and non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at the email below within 30 days.
- Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card number. Their terms and privacy policies apply to payment data.
3. Girls, teams, and photos
Many people featured on the Site are minors. We share names, photos, quotes, and school or team affiliations only with the written consent of a parent or guardian. Please do not copy, download for reuse, tag, or re-post images or information about any girl or team beyond sharing a link to the Site. If you are a parent or guardian and want content about your child changed or removed, email us and we will act promptly.
4. Partner nonprofits, teams, and other organizations
The Site may mention or link to other nonprofits, youth organizations, clubs, and basketball teams that we work with or admire. These groups are independent. Hoops Foundation does not control their programs, websites, or policies, and a mention or link is not a guarantee, endorsement, or partnership unless we say so. Your dealings with them are between you and them. If you run a nonprofit or team and would like to connect, please reach out.
